Every semester, the Student Union for Computer Science ("StV Informatik") offers a Master Info Evening for prospective and current Master's students. Learn about admission requirements, major and complementary subjects, graduation process, deadlines, and other important details.
We have not yet fixed a date for our next info session. Check below for resources from previous sessions!
These are the slides and video from our last info evening on Jan. 12th, 2026. All information is provided to the best of our knowledge. If you notice any mistakes, please let us know.
Answers to some of the questions in the end of the video:
„How strict is the topic field for the Master’s thesis?“ The topic of the Master’s thesis „must be taken from the Major or from the Complementary Subject […]“ – see Curriculum § 7 (3) – According to PAS, when the topic is submitted, it will be checked whether the Master's thesis subject is a Major or Complementary Subject according to the curriculum.
„I have to take subjects that are only offered in German, but I don't speak any/very little German.“ Please write the course supervisor and tell them your situation. There will be an individual solution for you.
We wish you all the best with your Master's! If you still have questions, feel free to get in touch.
