Incorporating Usability into Agile approaches in Web Applications

Abstract
In this talk we present several alternatives to bridge the gap existing between agile development approaches and user-centered development in the context of Web and mobile applications.We first motivate the need to use the UCD approach in interactive software, review the current trends on the Agile movement and show existing approaches to combine both views (Agile and UCD), analyzing the challenges and difficulties. Finally we briefly discuss our research in the subject

Gustavo Rossi is a Full Professor of the College of Informatics at La Plata University, Argentina. He holds a PhD from PUC-Rio, Brazil and an HDR from the University of Lyon, France. He has published more than 150 papers in journals, international conferences and book chapters. He has been jury of doctoral thesis in Universities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, France and Switzerland and invited professor at niversities in Spain and France. He is a member of the editorial board of IEEE Internet Computing, WWW Journal, the Journal of Cooperative Information systems and others.
